EXCURSIONS

Day 1 – Reception at Cesária Évora Airport and transfer to the hotel. Discover all facets of São Vicente. Morning dedicated to a walking tour of Mindelo (buildings, market, Cesária Évora’s house, cultural and artisanal heritage, etc.). Lunch or dinner at a typical restaurant depending on the flight arrival time.

Day 2 – Excursion to São Vicente Island Travel to Monte Verde, the highest point on the island, to see and admire the Bay of Mindelo. Next, visit the famous Baia das Gatas beach, Norte Baia with access to Praia Grande, Calhau, and Ribeira Calhau. The excursion lasts 7 hours (round-trip transportation included from Mindelo). Lunch in Calhau to taste Cape Verdean cuisine. Dinner at a restaurant in Mindelo.

Day 3 – Departure by boat to Santo Antão Island, accompanied by the guide. One-hour crossing. Private transport to the Cova Crater (1300 meters above sea level via the Corda road). Upon arrival in the Corda area, guests will descend for a hike around the crater and ascend to the village of Pico da Cruz (2.5 hours). Luggage will be transported to the hotel where they will stay for two nights. Typical lunch and dinner at the hotel to enjoy Cape Verdean cuisine.

Day 4 – Hike to the Pero Dias region, a green and wooded area at the foot of Pico da Cruz village. We will stop for a picnic in the pine forest (5-hour hike). Dinner included at the hotel in the evening.

Day 5 – Descent on foot from Pico da Cruz, passing through the village of Cabo de Ribeira to the locality of Passagem (a tourist resort) (2.5 hours). Lunch at Restaurante Chã Manuel dos Santos – Paul. After lunch, tourists will proceed to Ponta do Sol with their luggage. Dinner included at the hotel in the evening.

Day 6 – Cruzinha – Ponta do Sol Excursion – 5/6 hours Transfer to Cruzinha and then a 5-hour walk down to Ponta do Sol. Discover steep landscapes, small perched villages, and cultivated valleys. Unique landscapes throughout the journey. Midway, lunch at Restaurante Formiguinhas and return to the route until reaching Ponta do Sol.

Day 7 – Departure from Ribeira Grande to the village of Ribeira da Torre “Xoxo,” on a countryside walk. Then, climb up to Rabo Curto and start descending towards the village of Xoxo where you can enjoy incredible and stunning panoramic views of the Ribeira Grande valley. During the journey, take some breaks to take photos along the way. Visit a grogue distillery and enjoy a typical lunch at a restaurant. Dinner included. A perfect journey of adventure, culture, and gastronomy in Santo Antão.

Day 8 – Departure by boat from Santo Antão to São Vicente. The ferry departs at 17:00 (1-hour trip). Reception, transfer from the dock to the accommodation in Mindelo.

Day 9 – Transfer to Cesária Évora Airport for the return international flight.
